Ski Slopes - Sinaia

Sinaia Ski Slopes –Sinaia, one of the most beautiful mountain resorts in Romania is also one of the most popular as for entertainment and history. It is located on Prahova Valley and it lies at the feet of Varful cu Dor, Furnica and Piatra Arsa Mountains. It is also popular with the inhabitants of Bucharest for the winter sports. It takes only 2h from Bucharest to travel to Sinaia, the distance being 122 km. The places of entertainment in Sinaia are various and exciting. If you want suspense, you should try Carp slope. It starts at an altitude of 2000m and goes to an altitude of 1400 m. There are 2 cable cars to cover the distance, one is the old one, but the other is a modern one being in use since February 2006. This slope is recommended only to very skilled skiers, due to its difficulty. There is also an easier slope, for everybody, which goes down onto Drumul de Vara. But the best entertainment is in Valea Dorului. There are 3 slopes and a ski lift and the final destination is a cabin, which is a looked-for destination for tourists. During sunny days, besides skiing, the tourist can try sunbathing, which is as pleasant and getting a suntan is even nicer.

5.Drumul Vechi: medium easy; length:5000 m, slope:400m; no artificial snow, no lighting, ski lift –yes.
6.Poiana Stanii Regale: medium easy length:250 m, slope:40 m; no artificial snow, no lighting, ski lift –yes.
