Domneasca Church

Domneasca Church- was built in stone and it is a smaller scale copy of the Horezu monastery, through its architecture, interior design and it dates back around the same period of time.
It is an orthodox church and it was built in 1889. The portraits of the founders, King Carol I and Queen Elisabeth are to be admired inside.
It has two spires in different patterns It was built in the shape of a cross by Italian workers lead by Pietro Dreossi.
The furniture is made of oak and the cover, which is the most beautiful in Romania, was made in Wien.
The original icons were painted by Gheorghe Tatarascu and his apprentices.
The painting in the altar shares the same painter as in the Horezu monastery, Agnes Exner.
